About this role

MetroPower is looking for Electrical Service Technicians to install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems & associated equipment while adhering to the National Electric Code (NEC) and equipment specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, cable testers, thermal scanners, and ammeters, Service Technicians are required to safely and effectively identify electrical problems and recommend repairs. 
- The person in this role must be able to interpret blueprints and schematics, possess a solutions-based mindset, and exhibit professionalism during interactions with business owners & operators.
- Additional duties include documenting interactions with clients, working with colleagues in a team environment, and any other tasks necessary to build and grow the department.
- All business interactions must be conducted in accordance with MetroPower’s mission, vision, and values.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess 5-7 years’ experience in the electrical field
  • Must present a professional image and excel in trust building
  • Must be self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to use hand tools of the trade
  • Must be able to effectively wear basic PPE
  • Valid driver’s license (minimal violations)
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and push/pull 100 lbs. on regular basis
  • Must be able to climb ladders, stairs, bend, stoop, & work in all weather conditions
