A Day in the Life of Talent Acquisition and Development Lead at MetLife Legal Plans:
- Coordinate and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention fostering a culture of inclusion
- Designs and manages training and development programs supporting employee growth and career progression
- Conducts regular assessments to gather employee feedback and identify areas of improvement
- Partners with leaders to align talent development & recruiting strategies to company’s overall objectives
- Works closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop tailored recruitment plans
- Manages Talent Acquisition process, including Applicant Tracking System updates, notes and workflows, administration of job postings and any related external advertising; weekly updates to stakeholders; and preparation of new hire offers to support onboarding process.
- Develops and manages relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partners.
- Identifies active and passive candidates and develops pipelines for current and future vacancies, hard-to-fill roles, and high-volume roles.
- Measures, analyzes, and reports on Talent Acquisition practices against established metrics.
Required Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education or equivalent in HR, Business, Industrial Relations, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in talent acquisition and employee development
- Experience with applicant tracking systems or customer relationship management systems
- Experience using social media outlets for talent acquisition
- Desire to challenge status quo and implement fresh, new ways of working
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills including attention to detail and ability to manage and deliver on multiple competing priorities

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with an HRIS – ADP preferred
- Previous experience developing talent management philosophy/recruiting programs
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and initiatives effectively
- Ability to train managers on recruiting and retaining talent
Travel: Less than 5% travel required for this role.
