About this role

We are seeking a hands-on Embedded Wireless HW Connectivity Engineer to join our Wireless HW Connectivity Engineering Team within the Wearables Hardware organization. This role is ideal for engineers interested in hardware bring-up, system-level debugging, and cross-functional integration of wireless technologies. You will play a key role in developing next-generation wearable devices, working closely with hardware, firmware, and software teams to deliver robust wireless solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead hardware bring-up and system-level debugging for wireless products
  • Integrate and validate RF, antenna, and custom RFFE solutions
  • Support factory lines, compliance, and certification activities
  • Develop and maintain system-level test tools and automation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors for rapid issue resolution
  • Deliver cellular/GNSS drivers for custom RF front ends
  • Customize FW integration of antenna system features, including tuning and smart transmit switching
  • Prototype and support SAR/PD management, thermal management, network selection, and Tx power management for compliance
  • Enable early feature evaluations and optimization for hardware product development
  • Provide test automation framework support and generate test scripts for specific needs


Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Experience in embedded wireless systems, RF, and board-level debugging
  • Experience with factory bring-up, system integration, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Understanding of wireless transceiver architectures, RF front-ends, and system-level tradeoffs
  • Knowledge of analog/RF impairments (IQ imbalance, IP2, LOFT, DPD) and calibration flows
  • Proficiency in understanding of performance metrics (EVM, sensitivity) and impairment mitigation strategies
  • Experience with multi-radio coexistence environments
  • Proficiency with lab equipment (spectrum analyzer, signal generator, power meter)
  • Experience with automation infrastructure and tools (GIT, CI, database, reporting)
  • Familiarity with wireless communication protocols: 802.11, Bluetooth, 5G/LTE
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work hands-on in lab/factory environments
  • Experience with Matlab, Python, Shell scripting or C


Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Experience in prototyping and supporting compliance features for wearable devices
  • Prior work in cross-disciplinary teams and vendor-facing roles


$118,000/year to $170,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
