Our roots trace back to 1896, when the Brethren in Christ Church founded Messiah Home in Harrisburg, PA, to serve older adults with Christ-like love.       Who You Are   The nursing LPN/RN is charged with assuring the quality and continuity of resident care. While also being tasked with supervising the performance of all members of the nursing care team on a designated Neighborhood and shift.   To be successful in this role you’ll need to have knowledge of/experience in the following:    Proficiency in technology and systems management- Office Suite (Microsoft), POC, Electronic Health Records Systems  Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills – able to communicate effectively with residents, families’ interdisciplinary teams, and external partners both in person and over the phone  Effective and Efficient- skilled in both verbal and written communication across diverse audiences  Highly organized and detail-oriented – maintaining accuracy and focus in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions     What You’ll Do   Cooperate in providing a safe and pleasant environment and maintaining a high level of morale for residents and nursing personnel   Initiate disciplinary procedures as needed for staff   Establish and maintain effective interdepartmental working relationships and promote guest relations   Arrange for scheduling of appointments and transportation of residents to other departments or outside appointments   Observe and evaluate symptoms and conditions of residents and assure that families and physicians are updated and physician orders are followed   Plan, implement, and see to completion the resident’s plan of care.
