Who You Are
The Logistics Assistant is tasked with supporting the Logistics Coordinator and Purchasing Manager in overseeing day-to-day logistical operations across Messiah Lifeways Campus and satellite locations. This role is also tasked with receiving, inspecting, distributing, and storing all inbounds goods and deliveries. If this piques your interest, keep reading!
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have knowledge of/experience in the following:
Proficiency in technology and systems management - Office Suite (Microsoft), Databases
Organized and detail-oriented-with strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently
Customer-focused professional- known for delivering warm, attentive, and solution-oriented service to residents, and team members
Effective and efficient communicator- Proficient in oral and written communication across diverse audiences
What You’ll Do
Serves in a support role to the Logistics Coordinator and Purchasing Manager to assist with duties and responsibilities
Reports directly to the Logistics Coordinator for daily operations; must be willing to take daily guidance from the Logistics Coordinator
Receives tasks by the instruction of the Logistics Coordinator and Purchasing Manager and fulfills duties and responsibilities within the department as operations demand
Inspect shipments for accuracy and report damages or discrepancies
Support warehouse operations to include cleaning and organizing workspace, dating, and rotating inventory

What Else You’ll Need
Valid Driver’s License
Must be 18 years of age
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
At least 1 year of prior experience in logistics, or warehousing, or material management, or familiarity with the supply chain method, preferred
Must possess or be able to obtain within 3 months after hire operator's license for PITs (Powered Industrial Trucks) to include electric forklift and electric pallet jack
Must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license with no more than one infraction within the past three years
