Responsibilities

Put your nursing expertise to work at a Magnet-designated, university-affiliated hospital located just six blocks from Baltimore's Inner Harbor by joining the team at Mercy Medical Center's Interventional Radiology (IR) department.


Our Clinical Nurses (RN) in IR independently provide care to adult patients presenting for pain multiogram minimally-invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using medical imaging guidance, including pre, intra, post procedure management.  The IR Nurse routinely administers procedural sedation for the IR patient. Working with a dedicated team, the RN provides evidence-based, high quality care, including patient assessment and treatment, and serves as a resource for other team members.

Requirements

Qualifications:

 

  • A diploma/degree from an accredited nursing school (a Bachelor's degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, or agreement to enroll within six months of employment)
  • A license (RN) to practice in Maryland or the ability to obtain a Maryland license based on timeframe of licensing board
    At least two years of clinical nursing experience in critical care, and/or Interventional care required
  • Healthcare Provider-Level CPR (BLS) certification
  • ACLS certification
