Responsibilities

We are excited to welcome a dedicated and enthusiastic Procedure Coordinator to our front office team at The Bariatrics Center at Mercy, a busy and patient-focused bariatrics practice. This is a wonderful opportunity to be part of a supportive, fast-paced environment where your communication and customer service skills will truly make a difference in the patient experience.

 

  • Schedule procedures, in-office procedures, imaging, and clinic visits
  • Assist the administrative assistants to track pre-admission testing results assuring they have been received in a timely manner according to office protocol
  • Responsible for scheduling procedures with Mercy Endoscopy and outside ambulatory surgical centers for multiple providers
  • Help consolidate gaps in procedure schedules to maximize physician productivity
  • Will possess knowledge of HMO's, managed care and third party regulations as they apply to a specialty practice
  • Answer phones and triage patient phone calls for severity/importance
  • Complete all assigned scanning within 72 hours
  • Will schedule patient procedures and appointments from the assigned referral workqueue.
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

    • Education and Work Experience:
      • High School Diploma or GED
      • A minimum of one-year experience in a medical office setting (preferred)
