Summary

The Medical Oncology and Hematology Division at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland, is seeking a Board Certified/Eligible Medical Oncologist to join our growing practice.

The Medical Oncology and Hematology Division at Mercy Offers the Selected Candidate:

  • A multidisciplinary, collaborative approach to cancer care and a Cancer Center fully accredited by the Commission on Cancer
  • The opportunity to be part of a team of Board Certified physicians who diagnose and treat approximately 1,800 cancer cases per year
  • Access to a growing patient base through Mercy’s Downtown Campus and Community Physician Sites – one of the largest primary care networks in the Baltimore area
  • Well-appointed patient care and infusion facilities – including Glen Burnie/Anne Arundel County (9 treatment bays) and two infusion centers in Baltimore County, located in Overlea (9 treatment bays) and Lutherville (15 treatment bays)
  • The reputation as regional leaders in breast cancer, gynecologic oncology and surgical oncology
  • Work closely with Mercy’s network of top rated physicians – including those in our renowned Centers of Excellence for Cancer Care, Women’s Health, and Digestive Health

Requirements

Qualifications/Details for the Ideal Candidate:

  • Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology and Hematology
  • Must be interested in practicing at the Downtown Campus & Mercy's Community Physician Sites
  • The position primarily provides outpatient care, but also includes inpatient consultative services – inpatient care is provided by the Hospitalist or Intensivist services
  • The successful candidate will play an integral role in the expansion of the Medical Oncology and Hematology program
