This person has responsibility for the day to day supervision of general operations and personnel performing technical tasks in the department/shift assigned. Supervisors manage any staffing, procedural or technical problems that may occur. This person aids the Manager in assuring quality laboratory service within the guidelines set by regulatory agencies. Aids the manager in assuring that regulatory standards and hospital standards are implemented fairly and promptly, and that appropriate documentation is maintained.
