Responsibilities

The Dermatology Medical Assistant and Scribe supports dermatologists by performing both clinical and administrative duties. This dual role involves preparing patients for examination, assisting with dermatologic procedures, documenting physician-patient encounters, and ensuring efficient clinic workflow. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable in a fast-paced medical environment.The Medical Assistant will assist providers with medical and cosmetic dermatology procedures, manage patient flow, and ensure a high-quality clinical experience for all patients.

  • Greet and room patients; obtain medical history
  • Assist providers with dermatologic exams, biopsies, and procedures
  • Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, instruments, and supplies
  • Handle specimen labeling and ensure proper documentation
  • Support front desk operations, including scheduling and patient inquiries
  • Maintain inventory and ensure clinical areas are organized and stocked
  • Medication prior authorizations and refill requests
  • manages mychart inbaskets and requests

Requirements

  • Education and Work Experience:

      • High School Diploma or GED
      • A minimum of one year experience is preferred as a Medical Assistant or EMT-Paramedic
