<p><b>Mercer</b> is seeking candidates for the position of <b>Senior Manager, Risk & Incidents</b>.  <span>T</span>his role will be based in our Sydney, Adelaide or Melbourne office.  This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.</p><p></p><p><b>Senior Manager, Risk & Incidents</b></p><p></p><p><b>We will count on you to:</b></p><ul><li><p>Oversee the timely identification, investigation, and rectification of operational incidents in line with Marsh McLennan’s incident management policy, ensuring effective risk mitigation.</p></li><li><p>Manage the end-to-end incident workflow, including escalation, remediation planning, and reporting to regulators and internal stakeholders.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with internal teams to identify control gaps and implement corrective actions to strengthen operational controls.</p></li><li><p>Support risk assessments for projects impacting Administration Operations, providing actionable recommendations to enhance risk mitigation strategies.</p></li><li><p>Lead, coach, and mentor the incident management team to drive continuous improvement and best practices in incident rectification.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>What you need to have:</b></p><ul><li><p>Proven experience in risk management, incident management, or operational risk roles, preferably within financial services or a large corporate environment.</p></li><li><p>Strong knowledge of incident management frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, and regulatory compliance (including Superannuation industry regulations such as the Corporations Act and SIS Act).</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage complex remediation projects and lead high-performing teams.</p></li><li><p>Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organisational levels.</p></li><li><p>Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or professional certifications in risk management or related fields are highly regarded.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>What makes you stand out:</b></p><ul><li><p>Extensive operational knowledge within Superannuation Administration.</p></li><li><p>Experience working with regulatory bodies, external auditors, and industry groups.</p></li><li><p>A proactive approach to driving risk maturity and operational excellence.</p></li><li><p>Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide practical, actionable risk recommendations.</p></li><li><p>Previous experience in a governance or change management environment.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Why join our team:</b></p><ul><li><p>We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders.</p></li><li><p>We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communities.</p></li><li><p>Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well-being.</p></li></ul><br><p> Mercer is a business of Marsh (NYSE: MRSH), a global leader in risk, reinsurance and capital, people and investments, and management consulting, advising clients in 130 countries.
