We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Methadone Clinic team in Philadelphia, PA. This posting is for full-time, first shift, Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm.
Earn $31.98/hr.!
The LPN will administer medication and therapeutic treatments per the physician's orders. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.
- Administer/dispense methadone per State and Federal Guidelines
- Ensure adequate recording of the administration/dispensing transaction
- Ensure that the treatment plan of the physician and/or medical director is being followed
- Assess client response to treatment and medication dosage/interactions
- Maintain all medical records including but not limited to individual charts, daily medication charts, dosage records, progress notes, Doctor’s orders, etc., as required
- Monitor tuberculosis, HIV, and Hep C testing for all patients and assigned units, including making outside referrals when necessary
- Provides emergency care as needed (CPR, PMAB, Emergency Medications) prevention and management of aggressive behavior

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited practical/vocational nursing program
- Current license as an LPN or RN in the Commonwealth of PA
- 1 year of nursing experience is required
- Experience with chemically dependent population preferred
- Minimum one (1) year experience with dispensing narcotic medication, preferably in substance abuse treatment including treatment of opioid dependence
- Current CPR certification
