Job Summary:
Performs and participates in decontamination, assembling, packaging, sterilization, storage and dispatch of surgical instrumentation.
Required Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Licensure: None.
Experience: None.
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: None.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: N/A
Licensure: Certification from the International Association of Hospital Central Service Management (I.A.H.C.S.M.) or the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD).
Experience: Previous experience in a Sterile Processing Department.
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: Familiarization with surgical instrumentation.
