Job Summary

Position responsible for providing end user support for computer hardware, software, printers and network connectivity issues and requests.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Associates Degree or two (2) years of Information Technology field experience

Licenses/Certifications: (None)

Experience / Knowledge / Skills:

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of client applications, deployment tools for operating system images, Microsoft operating systems and computer hardware

  • Ability to identify, diagnose and resolve problems

  • Ability to lift 50lbs

Principal Accountabilities

  • Provides solutions to end user hardware, software and connectivity issues by using troubleshooting and technical skills.

  • Utilizes software tools to automate the installation of OS images and application software.

  • Coordinates walk-throughs with vendors to determine cabling and other IS related needs.

  • Knowledgeable of all MH facilities for on-call purposes.

  • Reports deployment of spare equipment to Senior or Lead Desktop Solutions Specialist and coordinates the repair of broken equipment when placed out of service.

  • Maintains accurate information/data regarding end user issues within the tracking system and updates asset information/data when equipment is moved, added or changed.

  • Ensures that all information systems products and services meet minimum corporate standards and end user requirements.

  • Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.

  • Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency, supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.

  • Demonstrates commitment to caring for every member of our community by creating compassionate and personalized experiences. Models Memorial Hermann’s service standards by providing safe, caring, personalized and efficient experiences to patients and colleagues.

  • Other duties as assigned.
