Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Perform scheduled and unscheduled physical inventory inspections and cycle counts.
Receive, stock, and store inventory materials, supplies, and equipment.
Pick and deliver re-supply inventory for par locations, scheduled orders, patient orders, and special orders within established timeframes.
Complete required documentation related to receiving, stocking, distribution, and inventory control.
Enter and maintain accurate inventory data in electronic systems to track inventory levels and equipment movement.
Coordinate with internal and external vendors or departments to secure inventory items and arrange delivery as needed.
Handle and transport floor-stock medications from Pharmacy to procedural areas in compliance with the Medication Handling, Security, and Access by Non-licensed Hospital Staff Policy and Procedure.
Collect, decontaminate, and process durable medical equipment for circulation throughout the facility, including equipment that may contain medications, in accordance with applicable guidelines.
Demonstrate knowledge of equipment use, function, and proper decontamination processes.
Anticipate, identify, and respond appropriately to urgent situations, issues, or potential problems, taking timely action to achieve optimal outcomes and meet customer needs.
Complete additional cross-training as assigned by the supervisor.
Assist with the orientation, training, and cross-training of new and existing staff as directed.
Attend and actively participate in educational sessions, informational meetings, operational committees, and work groups as assigned.
Perform routine and non-routine assignments in a cooperative and constructive manner, with a focus on quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
Maintain responsibility for assigned duties while supporting overall team efforts and assisting coworkers as needed.
Contribute to training and knowledge-sharing within the department.
Maintain the condition of equipment, workspaces, and MHS property.
Identify, report, and escalate equipment malfunctions or safety concerns.
Protect MHS property and promptly report damage or loss.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
