Automation & Systems Specialist (Full-Time, Remote)

Melanin Money is seeking an Automation & Systems Specialist to design, build, and maintain the automations that power our operations across Sales, Marketing, Client Success, and Finance.

This is a hands-on, applied systems role focused on building reliable automations, integrations, and intelligent workflows that reduce manual work, improve data flow, and help our systems scale. This role is not traditional software engineering and not an AI research role-success is measured by reliability, clarity, and operational impact.

Position Details

• Employment Type: Full-Time, W-2

• Location: Remote (U.S.-based applicants only; ET/CT preferred)

• Work Hours: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM ET

• Compensation: $60,000–$64,000 annually, based on experience, plus bonus potential

• Tentative Start Date: February 16, 2026

• Travel: 3–4 times per year

What You'll Do

Automation & Systems

• Build, test, and maintain automations across HubSpot, Zapier, n8n, and connected platforms

• Design system-to-system workflows across CRM, marketing, payments, webinars, and internal tools

• Identify opportunities to reduce manual work and operational friction

• Improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of existing workflows

Bots & AI-Assisted Workflows

• Design and implement practical bots and AI-assisted workflows that support operations

• Integrate bots into broader automation systems rather than building isolated tools

• Apply AI tools thoughtfully to improve efficiency, accuracy, and consistency

Troubleshooting & Optimization

• Diagnose automation failures end-to-end and implement durable fixes

• Proactively monitor workflows to prevent silent failures or data issues

• Ensure systems meet standards for data integrity and long-term maintainability

Documentation & Collaboration

• Clearly document automations so systems are understandable and transferable

• Maintain accurate documentation as workflows evolve

• Collaborate closely with Operations leadership and cross-functional partners

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining automations

• Strong experience with HubSpot workflows (Pro or Enterprise environments preferred)

• Comfort working across multiple systems and integrations

• Familiarity with APIs, webhooks, and structured data flows

• Experience integrating AI tools into automation workflows

• Strong ownership mindset, organization, and documentation habits

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting Sales, Marketing, or Client Success teams

• Familiarity with tools such as ClickFunnels, Stripe, PandaDoc, Zoom Webinars, or Shopify

• Experience in coaching, education, or service-based business environments

• Automations are well-documented, clear, and transferable

• Systems scale without becoming fragile or person-dependent

• Automation issues are identified and resolved proactively
