Company: Medify

👋 About Medify

Medify is a world-leading healthcare EdTech company on a mission to widen access to medicine and healthcare careers. We support tens of thousands of students each year through high-stakes admissions exams including UCAT, GAMSAT, and medical school interviews.

We hold over 66% market share in the UK and Australasia for UCAT, are fully bootstrapped, profitable, and growing year-on-year. Medify is led by a product-first CEO with over 15 years’ experience building high-impact digital products. Our focus is on outcomes for learners - not noise, hype, or vanity metrics.

🎯 The Role

We are hiring an Associate Product Manager to join Medify’s product team, with a clear pathway to becoming a full Product Manager.

This role is designed for someone with a medical background and lived experience of the medical exams and application journey, who wants to make a lasting impact on healthcare education at scale.

No prior product management or engineering experience is required. You will receive close mentorship and structured training in product discovery and delivery from the CEO and Medify’s product team.

🧠 What You’ll Do

Product Learning & Development

  • Learn Medify’s product philosophy, delivery processes, and decision-making frameworks directly from the CEO and senior product leaders.
  • Build deep understanding of Medify’s exams ecosystem (UCAT, GAMSAT, and related learner journeys).
  • Prepare to take full ownership of the Exams function as Product Manager.

Product Discovery

  • Conduct and support user interviews.
  • Translate learner needs, pain points, and behaviours into clear product opportunities.
  • Use your lived experience of medical education to challenge assumptions and improve product decisions.
  • Analyse qualitative and quantitative feedback to inform prioritisation.

Product Delivery

  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Learning and Design to deliver high-quality product improvements.
  • Clearly define product requirements and feature specifications. Clearly communicate features and their value to users to all stakeholders.
  • Support planning, delivery tracking, and stakeholder communication in a fully remote environment.
  • Monitor product performance and learner outcomes to identify areas for improvement.

Progression to Product Manager

  • Take increasing ownership of prioritisation, trade-offs, and delivery decisions.
  • Develop the capability to independently run a product area end-to-end.

About You

Essential

  • Medical background, with lived experience of the medical exams and application journey.
  • Medical education degree or equivalent background in medicine or healthcare education.
  • First-hand experience navigating high-stakes medical admissions exams.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and organised work behaviours.
  • Coachable, motivated, and willing to learn rapidly.
  • Goal-driven, resilient, and able to manage pressure in a healthy, sustainable way.
  • Comfortable working independently in a high-autonomy, remote environment.

Not Required (We Will Teach You)

  • How to be an effective Product manager.

🏢 How We Work

  • Fully remote and highly flexible - we care about impact, not hours.
  • High trust and autonomy, with no micromanagement.
  • Product decisions are market-driven and negotiated directly with the Senior Product managers.
  • Personal development goals are prioritised over rigid performance metrics.

✅ What We Offer

  • Competitive salary depending on criteria fulfilment.
  • Salary progression linked to impact and responsibility.
  • Annual salary increment and bonus depending on company performance.
  • Pension contributions.
  • Annual learning and development budget.
  • Full flexibility over where, when, and how you work.
  • Annual company retreat (2025 retreat: Barcelona).
  • Work alongside highly competent Engineering and Learning teams.
  • High independence and meaningful ownership from day one.
