About the Role:

The Mental Health Technician plays a crucial role in supporting the mental health and well-being of patients within the Geriatric Psychiatry department. This position is responsible for monitoring patients' behavior, assisting with daily activities, and providing emotional support to individuals facing mental health challenges. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certified or must obtain within 30 days of hire date.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in Geri-psych or as a PCT preferred.
• Knowledge of mental health disorders and treatment modalities.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor patients' mental and emotional well-being, documenting any changes in behavior or condition.
• Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and recreational activities.
