The Lead Phlebotomy Tech performs all duties related to the preparation, distribution, collection, and storage of lab specimens. Properly identifies patients prior to specimen collection by adhering to lab policies. In support of laboratory operations, the Lead Phlebotomy Tech provides support to the laboratory staff, by serving as a technical resource, perform waive testing, document filing, record maintenance, responding to client/patient calls, sample processing, and other duties as assigned within scope. The Lead Phlebotomy Tech may assume supervisory responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor in their absence.
