We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable Kitchen Porter to join our team at UAB Medical West. As a Kitchen Porter, you will be responsible for working with patient tray line staff in the loading, delivery and pick up of patient trays, completing all cleaning and sanitizing in the dish room while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment will be essential to the success of our kitchen operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste
• Ensure that all kitchen equipment and utensils are properly sanitized and stored
• Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines
• Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations
