Job Description
Assist MUSC physicians, employees and staff with questions related to reimbursement and billing. Review payer materials and stay current with policy changes. Provide feedback about relative payer information and relative financial impact. Prepares monthly reports for distribution in preparation for Revenue Cycle Team meetings (RCT). Analyzes reports and detects trends or problems. Provides research and data analysis to answer questions.
Provides support of monitoring intake/request log and takes necessary action to create reports and provide analysis to support documentation. Analyzes accounts receivable and identifies trends in payments and denials. Reviews and keeps abreast of changes in coding and documentation requirements. Performs other duties as assigned.
