About this role

Job Description Summary

The position is responsible for ensuring the coordination and effectiveness of the professional revenue cycle billing, collections and credit balances for third party, commercial and governmental payer. Collaborates on development of Patient Account department policies and procedures. Oversees divisional expenditures and approves purchase requests. Collaborates with IS department on system problems, enhancements, testing of new processes, report requests. Continually expand/update Epic system knowledge. Coordinates with management staff and other divisions to formulate general patient accounting process and productivity improvements. Coordinate and implement solutions from process analysis and general departmental projects. Analyze and document business processes and problems.


Education and Work Experience
Bachelor's degree in related field required or 5 years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree, Master's degree preferred. CPC preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of overall healthcare billing experience. Previous management experience required. Must have direct experience with physician billing reimbursement preferably in a faculty practice plan setting. Strong leadership and consultative skills. Excellent analytical and project management skills. Exceptional interpersonal and strong verbal/written communication skills. Strong computer skills; working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access).
Must work independently.
