Job Description

What You’ll Do

Under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will:

  • Deliver skilled occupational therapy interventions to patients recovering from injury, illness, surgery, or other medical conditions

  • Carry out therapeutic procedures as prescribed by the referring practitioner

  • Support and advance patient goals established by the Occupational Therapist

  • Reassess patient progress at regular intervals and adjust treatment accordingly

  • Maintain timely, accurate documentation that supports clinical findings and outcomes

  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team in a fast-paced hospital environment

PRN Status Clause:

This is a PRN as-needed position, you must be available to work at least 12 hours bi-weekly, as needed according to departmental demands. You may be required to work additional hours if requested by your supervisor to accomplish work objectives. Work hours may vary (increase or decrease) depending on the needs of the unit.

Additional Job Description

Education: A degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.

Licenses/Certification: Current South Carolina occupational therapist assistant licensure is required. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required before seeing patients.
