RN Intern - Tele

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the general supervision and direction of a clinical nurse and according to established policies and procedures, provides routine service duties, technical and nursing procedures necessary to provide for care, comfort and safety of patients. The Nurse Intern maintains patient and unit environment in a clean and orderly condition. Utilizes basic knowledge of age-related differences in delivering patient care.

1. High School graduate or equivalent.
2. 2 letters of recommendation from Clinical Instructor/Designee
3. Transcript indicating minimum 3.0 GPA
4. Current BLS certification
5. Must be enrolled in an accredited School of Nursing program.
6. Must have successfully completed a course equivalent to Fundamentals or Introduction to Clinical Nursing.
7. Able to demonstrate basic patient care methods, procedures and critical thinking techniques, and to acquire and effectively utilize knowledge of unit procedures and schedules.
