McLeod Health is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our Occupational Health team as a Float Practitioner. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive healthcare services to a diverse range of patients across multiple sites.
Experienced candidates preferred, but will consider a new graduate
Qualifications/Training:
- Minimum of a master’s degree as a Nurse Practitioner required.
Licenses/Certifications/Registrations:
A valid SC RN License as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) verified by the LLR.
Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by approved accrediting agency.
Prescriptive privileges or are eligible to apply.
Job Description:
- Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
- Assesses needs of patients as assigned based on data collected through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis of diagnostic data.
- Records physical findings, and formulates plans and prognosis, based on patient's condition.
- Plans, implements, and coordinates care to meet the holistic age specific needs of patients.
- Fosters an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for all patients, families, and visitors.
- Demonstrates professionalism and integrity.
- Performs physical examinations and preventative health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of physician.
- Discusses case with physician and other heal professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan.

- The Occupational Health Float Nurse Practitioner will assess patient needs, record findings, and formulate care plans based on patient conditions. They will also coordinate care and foster a compassionate environment for patients and their families.
