Your impact on the team
As our Business Intelligence Engineer Tableau - Alteryx, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing visual analytics solutions using the Alteryx/Tableau platforms. This role involves extraction, transformation, creating interactive and insightful dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to facilitate data-driven decision-making. You will work closely with business analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and objectives.
What will you do?
- Extract information from databases and transform it according to business rules
- Create interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports using Tableau by transforming raw data into meaningful insight that aid decision- making
- Connect Tableau to various data sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and cloud-based platforms.
- Design and implement data extraction and transformation processes for optimal visualization.
- Optimize Tableau dashboards and reports for performance and responsiveness.
- Document Tableau development processes, data sources, and methodologies.
- Conduct testing and validation of Tableau solutions to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Identify and address bottlenecks to enhance the overall user experience and implement error handling mechanisms and address data quality issues.
What are we looking for ?
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology or related field
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Tableau
- Strong experience in SQL, PL/SQL, or Oracle (Advance knowledge required)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Alteryx
- Must have experience working on multiple projects with reporting and data visualization background with Tableau and/or Alteryx
- Prior work experience in SAP Business Object, TM1 will be a big plus
- Capable of managing tasks individually, with minimum supervision
