Hiring Unit:
The McGill Centre for the Study of Democratic Citizenship (CSDC) wants to develop a website that showcases the objectives of the McGill CSDC, its members, projects, upcoming graduates' labs, professors’ and students’ successes to increase the visibility of the CSDC and its members.
Position Summary:
The duties will include but are not limited to:
Develop the CSDC website end-to-end, including defining the site's architecture (main pages, menus, members, and resources).
Present website design ideas and options to create website.
Create a French and English version of the website.
Reach out to new and current students, as well as alumni, to collect their information for student profiles.
Coordinate the dissemination of event information.
Deliver a website that can easily be updated by the main users.
The list of functions outlined above is representative and not a complete and detailed list of tasks which may be performed by the incumbent.
Ideally the task would be completed by early April.
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities
Knowledge of McGill's Web Management System (WMS) and programming language is an asset.
