Department Overview

Join McDonald's as our Director, LIOM Customer Technology, and contribute to crafting the future of digital commerce solutions! You will guide the preparation of the next generation digital commerce solution. It will first launch in France and later expand to all IOM/IDL markets. This role offers a highly multifaceted setting where you will collaborate with teams from various markets and global technology partners.

Duties

The purpose of the role:

  • Accountable for the long-term strategy for software, hardware, and architecture that prepares for the future and works towards standardization between markets.
  • Manage and optimize the strategy and communication link between global engineering and markets.
  • Ensure product and market estate readiness for digital technology platforms including Mobile Apps, Digital offers, Kiosk, Home Delivery, Dedication Programs, Digital Back-end capabilities, and Data.
  • Responsible for building and sustaining connections with markets, Global Technology, Segment Teams, strategic partners like Capgemini, Umain, and other internal groups including DCE, Legal, and Operations. Effective communication and influencing skills are crucial.
  • A keen eye for detail, a thoughtful approach, and the capacity to rapidly pinpoint the underlying cause of issues will be crucial for success in the role.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting and engagement on requirements, issues, and remediation approaches, as warranted.

Responsibility & Accountability:

Strategic Leadership:

Lead the LIOM Segment Technology Team as Digital Director – Solution Services, supporting key markets (UK, Germany, Canada, Australia, and France) to deliver better customer experiences and embrace global technology solutions. Find opportunities for efficiency and drive continuous improvement.

Teamwork and Partnership:

Partner daily with colleagues across various teams, including Product Engineering, Architecture Services, Project Management Office, and Global Release Managers, as well as Global Strategic Technology Partners, to prepare and deploy new digital solutions into markets effectively.

Product and Market Preparation:

Ensure readiness for digital technology platforms, including Mobile Apps, Digital offers, Kiosk, Home Delivery, Dedication Programs, Digital Back-end capabilities, and Data. Build and sustain connections with Markets, Global Technology, Strategic partners, and other internal functions.

Problem Solving:

Demonstrate attention to detail, forward-looking critical thinking, and a problem-solving analytical approach on sophisticated initiatives to deliver the best experience to our markets in a supported partnership.

Qualifications

 

  • Extensive experience in strategic project management, business analysis, and working in ambiguous environments to identify, define, and implement change.
  • Shown ability to deliver clear and succinct information, facilitating rapid and informed decision-making within the organization.
  • Proven knowledge in Digital and Retail Technology, encompassing Mobile Apps, e-commerce, Self-Order Kiosks, POS, and Home Delivery systems.
  • Strong project management skills with a preference for PMP or other certifications, and exposure to Agile methodologies.
  • Outstanding talent for connecting with and motivating culturally teams with varied strengths in a global, product-centric organization.

Salary Range

The expected salary range for this role is $178,121.00 - $222,651.00 per year
