Tēnei tūranga - About the Role:

 

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Registration and Licensing Officer to join our Occupational Regulation team. This team manages a range of licensing and registration schemes, including Electrical Workers, Licensed Building Practitioners, Immigration Advisers, Motor Vehicle Traders, Auctioneers, and Pool Inspectors. As the regulatory landscape evolves, additional schemes may be added. 

 

In this role, you’ll support the team across licensing matters, including complex Electrical Worker applications, complaints, appeals, and special projects. 

 

You’ll also play a key role in mentoring Licensing Officers and helping drive team performance. 

 

What You’ll Be Doing 

 

  • Processing complex Electrical Worker applications.
  • Responding to enquiries and supporting team members.
  • Mentoring Licensing Officers and sharing best practices.
  • Assisting with complaints, appeals, and project work.
  • Supporting administrative functions to improve business operations.

Skills and Experience Required
 

  • Experience in registration and licensing processes.
  • Strong mentoring and coaching skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • High attention to detail and sound judgement.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and CRM systems.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with occupational regulation schemes such as Electrical Workers (EW), Licensed
  • Building Practitioners (LBP), Motor Vehicle Traders (MVTR), and Immigration Advisers (IAA) is advantageous but not essential.
