About this role

Makes significant contributions to supporting cost containment for the Practice, orchestrating supply management initiatives, and bringing innovation to Mayo Clinic. This includes developing and participating in short-term tactics and long range plans that result in optimal use of supplies, services, inventory and performance within the Practice and supply chain management operations. Takes an active enterprise and site-based leadership role with physician and executive leadership. Develops supply chain management strategies and in addressing daily supply chain operations, including process reengineering, utilizations management, supply chain systems coordination, customer service, receiving, inventory management, asset management, and distribution. In addition, serves as the primary site-based interface to the Practice and Administration for all enterprise supply chain functions, including sourcing and contracting, informatics, analytics, the pharmaceutical formulary, information technology and telecommunications contracting, and procure-to-pay. Actively participates in the standardization/value analysis process, in providing customer service to end-users, in the awarding of contracts, and in business reviews with supplier partnerships which provide medical/surgical supplies, non-medical/surgical supplies, capital/non-capital equipment, and service agreements for the entire Mayo Clinic and Mayo Health System. This position will be responsible for managing and adhering to Shared Services and the site operating budgets, as well as understanding and contributing to meeting targets and plans for the overall enterprise Supply Chain Management budget. The position will have responsibility for oversight and management of both site based and shared services staff depending on the needs of the organization.
