Job Description
We are seeking a strategic and technically skilled Data and Analytics Lead to drive the development and execution of our data strategy. This role involves leading a team of data professionals to deliver actionable insights, enhance data infrastructure, and support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
The ideal candidate combines strong leadership capabilities with deep technical knowledge in analytics, data engineering, and business intelligence. You will play a pivotal role in transforming data into a strategic asset, guiding stakeholders through a data-driven culture, and ensuring scalable, efficient data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
• Define and execute the organization’s data and analytics strategy in alignment with business goals.
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of data analysts, engineers, and scientists.
• Collaborate with C-level executives, department heads, and product owners to define data needs and analytics priorities.
Data Management & Analytics
• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines, data warehouses, and BI platforms.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reporting systems to monitor KPIs and business performance.
• Translate complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders using storytelling and visualization.
Governance & Quality
• Ensure data quality, integrity, privacy, and compliance with data governance policies
• Establish standards for data collection, storage, access, and usage across the organization.
Technology & Innovation
• Evaluate and implement tools and technologies for analytics, data integration, and visualization.
• Stay current on industry trends in AI/ML, data engineering, and emerging analytics techniques.
• Drive automation and advanced analytics initiatives (e.g., predictive modeling, segmentation, recommendation systems).
Desired Experience & Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, Economics, or related field.
Professional Experience
• 6–10+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data engineering roles.
• At least 2–4 years in a leadership or team lead capacity.
• Proven experience working with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
• Experience in leading business system application and database architecture design, influencing technology direction in range of breadth of IT areas
Technical Skills
• Strong knowledge of SQL, Python or R.
• 3-5 years of experience implementing data transformation pipelines using AWS solutions like Amazon Glu, Amazon Redshift, Amazon DMS, Amazon Event Bridge.
• Experience with modern data stack tools (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, DBT, Airflow).
• Proficiency with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar.
• Understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data architecture best practices.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
Soft Skills
• Excellent communication and data storytelling skills.
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and stakeholder management abilities.
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to mentor and grow a high-performing team.
