The Survey Foreman provides the construction layout/survey for the Company. Reporting to the Survey Manager, the Survey Foreman directs the survey crew in proper layout of the requested items while enforcing all company policies, procedures, and safety standards while working efficiently to meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities
- Build and Maintain Earth work take offs in AGTEK
- Topographic survey quantitative analysis
- Maintain Machine Control files for Dozers and Motor Graders
- Build and submit as-builts and shop drawings to Project Management Team
- Create Cut Sheets using plans and stakeout data
- Keep computer filing system up to date and organized
- Keeping up to date on all the latest revisions and changes on jobs
- Constant Communication with survey management, survey crews, engineers and project management
- Layout field crews with work requested for the day
- Go to the field and observe crews and assist with field issues as they arise
- Assist the Field Supervisor in the running of the Department in the absence of the manager
- Create Excel spreadsheets with horizontal and vertical stakeout data for analysis
- Upload files and start Machine Control equipment in the absence of the field supervisor and or manager
- Keep track of plans and revisions so field crews plan sets stay up to date
Qualifications
- 2+ years’ experience in Trimble Business Center or other CAD software
- 2+ years’ experience in AGTEK or similar estimating or takeoff software
- 1+ years’ experience in Excel
- Experience in land survey and construction layout
- 2+ years Field surveying experience as a chief or foreman a must
- Overtime is required
