Job Description
JOB SCOPE/ SUMMARY:
Maintain safe and efficient operation of a forklift truck or reach truck in an effort to load/unload products from inbound/outbound trailers
Provide a quality check on all products for potential identification errors or shortages
Perform routine equipment maintenance work as needed
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provide for safe operation of a forklift with a slip-sheet attachment, a reach truck, and a rider jack in an effort to stock, down stock, and rotate dated product by stock number to correct aisle and pulling order.
Provide routine inspections on inventory for possible damages and prepare for shipment.
Document all discrepancies on inbound freight accurately.
Provide down stock on all sales aides and stack or restack product pallets.
Recharge reach truck and change propane tanks on forklift when needed.
Maintain accurate operation of wands or scanner guns in detecting errors on inbound shipments.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and assist in other areas as needed.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Some warehouse or stock experience is required
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES RECOMMENDED FOR POSITION:
Knowledge of basic math
Knowledge of warehouse operations
Ability to operate forklift, reach truck, rider jack, battery charger and slip-sheet attachment
Possess good verbal and written communication skills
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Required to wear and use appropriate safety gear including boots and back belt
STATUS: Hourly
