Job Description:

Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Lead Sorter at our Prince George's County MRF located in Capitol Heights, MD. This role serves as lead sorter on sorting lines at our materials recycling facility providing guidance, oversight, and training to MES and contractual employees. Ensures the successful sorting and segregation of recyclable items including aluminum, plastic, paper, cardboard, and steel. Provides feedback to supervisory personnel to ensure that work conforms to product and facility specifications.

Estimated Pay Range:

$41,515.16 - $57,083.16

Minimum Requirements:

Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a GED equivalency certificate, and one year of experience in environmental services, waste management, or a related field.

This position will be open until filled.

This position is eligible for on-spot, contingent offers. Candidates who apply after an on-spot offer has been extended (including internal candidates) will not be considered unless the candidate who receives the on-spot, contingent offer does not complete the process to become an MES employee.

Any offer of employment will be contingent upon successfully completing required pre-employment screens, to include full background check, drug & alcohol screening, and position appropriate physical.
