Group DescriptionWhat You Can Expect
Support internal or external teams on system level debugging.
Analyze bring up, debug and characterize silicon level Marvell’s internal IPs such as High-Speed SerDes for various Marvell products.
Evaluate and debug new features in PHY, develop driver firmware, collect performance data, and resolve application and production issues including Ethernet and PCIe products.
Provide direct technical support to top tier customers and work with them to review designs, discuss questions and help tune performance to meet system requirement.
Develop and execute bench level validation test plans, develop script in Python, VBA, MATLAB to automate testing.
Generate appropriate test report and write application notes.
Provide technical support to customers for resolving all technical issues and for furnishing collateral documentation related to technical matters.
Act as a primary technical interface between the company and customers.
Qualify design activity at the customer engineering level and participate in the definition of new products and the identification of niche areas that present new opportunities for Marvell.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering/Science or related technical field and 3+ years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Master’s degree on Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering is preferable with 3+ years of experience.
Strong fundamentals of communication, transmission lines, EM, microwave theories.
Test Script generation in Python, VBA, MATLAB, SAI/SONiC, or other language.
Debugging using equipment like Oscilloscope (Keysight, Tektronix, Teledyne Lecroy), TDR (Time Domain Reflectometer, Tektronix), VNA (Vector Network Analyzer, Agilent), Logic Analyzer (Tektronix, Agilent).
Bench analysis using equipment like BERT (Bit Error Rate Tester, Keysight, Anritsu) or AWG (Arbitrary Waveform Generator, Tektronix) in a plus.
Performing 5G, 10G, 25G NRZ and 53G PAM-4 Transmitter Compliance test measurements using IEEE Compliant HCB (Host Compliance Board) test fixture is a plus.
Performing electrical compliance testing for PCIE Gen4/5 using PCI-SIG Compliance boards is a plus.
Experience and knowledge on high-speed SerDes Printed Circuit Board design and system application.
Creating and performing validation test cases and generating reports including the gathered data and target results.
Attitude to interact with remote teams.
Willing to travel
Fluent in English both spoken and written.
Worked experience as an Application Engineering supporting Tier1 Customers.
