- Management of contractors, ensuring work quality and cost effectiveness to meet the requirements of the operation.
- The control of all maintenance and repair procedures and practices covering commercial vehicles.
- Maintenance of all Health and Safety policies covering the use of equipment. Ensuring fleet documentation is compliant to current legislation
- Liaise with external suppliers and support accident repairs paperwork to meet the requirements of insurers.
- Scheduling of all equipment for service or repairs.
- Ensuring that the daily availability of equipment meets the operational needs. Support COM by raising purchase orders via JDE
- Communicate with suppliers to minimise equipment downtime.
- Carrying out minor defect repairs.
- Check and agree defects.
- Questioning and challenging suppliers over repair times and cost.
- Monitoring compliance of Health & Safety by supplier’s staff when on site.
Qualifications
- City and Guilds qualification or equivalent (Desirable)
- Experience of Microsoft packages – Intermediate Level (Desirable)
- Awareness of all current and pending industry legislation and developments (Desirable)
