JOB SUMMARY
The Vascular Sonographer functions as a member of the healthcare team by providing patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures to assist in the diagnosis of medical conditions. The individual functions as a delegated agent under the supervision of the physician and completes procedures in a manner consistent with Marshfield Clinic Health Systems’ (MCHS) mission, policies, and initiatives while maintaining patient confidentiality.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: One of the Following:
Preferred/Optional: Associate degree in ultrasonography, registered in cardiac and vascular sonography thru ARDMS or CCI and experience in cardiac and vascular ultrasound.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: Patient care experience.
Preferred/Optional: One year experience as a vascular sonographer.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
