About this role

St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a Full time Sterile Processing Tech I for our Sterile Processing Department.  The Sterile Processing Tech I, under the direction of the Manager of SPD, Coordinator SPD or authorized designee is responsible for decontaminating, cleaning, packing sterilizing, assembling and storage of equipment, supplies and instruments according to prescribed procedures and techniques.

Qualifications

High School education or equivalent.  Must successfully obtain Sterile Processing Department Certification (CSPDT) within two (2) calendar years of employment date.        

 

EXPERIENCE: 

Prior SPD and/or Surgery experience preferred, but not essential.

 

SKILLS: 

Understanding of instructions and underlying principles regarding the procedures and techniques of processing.
