About this role

St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a casual Clinical Support Assistant under the direction of the Manager, Patient Transport/Customer Service or authorized designee, the Transporter will safely and efficiently transport patients throughout the Medical Center.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:  High school graduate or equivalent preferred.  Successful completion of a nurse aide program preferred. 

 

EXPERIENCE:  Nurse aide experience preferred but not required. Previous experience working with the public and or patients and their families helpful.

 

SKILLS:  Verbal ability required to communicate with patients and understand instructions received from nursing staff.  Ability to lift patients and operate transport equipment.  Good body mechanics.  Have nimble hands and a pleasing voice. Should have the ability to remain calm even when working under pressure.  Maintains BLS certification.
