About this role

Description

Markon is seeking a Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) professional with OPIR (Overhead Persistent Infrared) experience to support one of our customers in the Intelligence Community, this is an opportunity to work on some of the most amazing systems ever built. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance and oversight for the development, testing, and deployment of OPIR systems.
  • Lead the integration of OPIR technologies into broader ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) frameworks.
  • Ensure the alignment of OPIR projects with organizational goals and mission requirements
  • Develop and implement technical strategies for the enhancement and optimization of OPIR capabilities
  • Identify emerging technologies and trends in OPIR and advise on their potential integration.
  • Facilitate collaboration between internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to advance OPIR initiatives.
  • Drive innovation by leading R&D efforts focused on advancing OPIR technologies.
  • Systems Analysis and architectural review of various SIGINT/GEOINT model based systems.
  • Support robust MBSE-based systems engineering with scalable data structures.
  • Implement complex systems, these systems are critical to national security and the teams are formed from the bests and brightest.
  • Duties include critical thinking, robust discussion, analysis of complex features and intertwined requirements across intelligence disciplines.
  • Work with (really) big data, machine learning, complex design frameworks, model based systems engineering and a multitude of other tools.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI w/ a CI Polygraph clearance OR the ability to and willingness to take a polygraph exam.
  • 10 years of experience in the development, deployment, and management of OPIR systems.
  • Proven experience in a technical leadership role, managing complex technical projects and teams.
  • Demonstrated expertise in OPIR technologies, satellite systems, and related ground systems.
  • Strong understanding of OPIR sensor technologies, data processing, and analysis.
  • Proficiency in systems engineering, integration, and testing of ISR systems.
  • Familiarity with advanced software tools and programming languages used in OPIR applications.
  • Experience with software system design, development, integration, and testing.
  • Experience with cloud-based MBSE systems architecure and design.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Analytical mind with a passion for problem solving.

Salary Range

USD $140,000.00 - USD $180,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
