Description

Markon is seeking a Cyber Test Engineer to support our CNO efforts for the Virginia Customer in Chantilly, VA. In this role, you will have a direct positive impact on the customer’s needs and mission.

Responsibilities

• Engage with internal and customer stakeholders to derive system requirements and react to mission needs.
• Develop a deep understanding of the tools, systems, and frameworks used by the customer, and how to effectively integrate them with various technologies.
• Build a real-world test environment and create a test plan.
• Utilize your technical skills to build and maintain custom test frameworks and generate thorough documentation.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• TS/SCI Clearance is required (Active Poly is highly desired).
• Technical leadership experience in leading small teams
• 5+ years test engineering or related experience
• 3+ year of experience developing in Python, Bash, or similar scripting language
• 3+ year of experience working on Linux/Unix systems
• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking, architecture, and core technologies (such as DNS, DHCP, HTTP, Routing, VPN)
• Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interface with customers, end-users, technical leads, and program management

Desired Qualifications

• Experience building test automation frameworks
• Experience designing, writing, reviewing, and executing test plans, procedures, reports, and other technical documentation
• Familiarity with Agile mindset and methodologies
• Ability to think abstractly and drive toward defined requirements and testing strategies
• Experience using virtualization technologies such as Docker

Salary Range

USD $190,000.00 - USD $220,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
