About this role

Description

Markon is seeking an experienced Network Analyst with deep expertise in telecommunications and data transport engineering, including advanced switching systems in traditional telecom environments. This position supports a cutting edge program with our Virginia Customer and is located in the Northern Virginia area.

Responsibilities

  • Engineer robust and secure networks for data centers, network architecture design, and cellular technologies spanning 3G through 5G, as well as cutting-edge radio network systems.
  • Manage network operations and apply industry principles and best practices across domestic and international telephony systems.
  • Utilize and communicate knowledge of network topologies, system architectures, router configurations, and telecommunication infrastructures.
  • Ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performance network solutions.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (preferrably from this client).
  • Experience with network technologies, protocols, systems to include but not limited to SONET/SDH, OTN, MSAN, VoIP, IP Multimedia Services, SDN WAN and LAN, multi-fabric networks, mesh networks, 5G/LT/LAN interworking.
  • Skilled in analyzing industry and commercial telecommunication logical and physical routes.
  • Strong understanding of network techologies, protocols, system, and equipment related to telecom and data transport, switching technologies, data center network engineering, network architect and/or cellular network engineering, and radio network engineering.
  • Working knowledge of Network Management Systems and/or Network Function Virtualization and SDN.
  • Experience in commercial/industry telecommuniations network and routing.
  • Working experience with any of the following: PSTN, Data Networks, VOIP, fiber optic cables/installation and maintenance, RF related technologies, GPON.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; adept at resolving complex network issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; effective in both independent and collaborative environments.

Desired:

  • Current Network Engineering certification (Cisco, Palo Alto, qualcomm, etc.).
  • International telecommunications experience.
  • Foreign language proficiency.

Salary Range

USD $150,000.00 - USD $200,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
