About this role

Description

We are seeking an experienced Linux Systems Administrator to support both Linux-based workstations and servers across physical and virtual environments for an IC customer . In this role, you will perform daily system checks, troubleshoot and resolve issues, and help ensure the reliability and efficiency of mission-critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • User Support: Manage new user onboarding, workstation imaging, and system configuration
  • Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve remote user issues and infrastructure-related problems
  • Infrastructure Monitoring: Monitor system performance, stability, and reliability; recommend improvements
  • System Upgrades: Plan and coordinate system outages, patching, and upgrades
  • Network Maintenance: Monitor and maintain basic network services and systems
  • Equipment Installation: Install server and network equipment in a data center environment
  • Documentation: Document infrastructure changes, architecture updates, and system configurations
  • Help Desk Support: Resolve user requests and trouble tickets submitted through the HelpDesk

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required
  • Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field and 10 years of related experience (or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree)
  • 8+ years of Linux experience, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and sustainment
  • Experience maintaining virtual environments and deploying/supporting Linux-based services
  • Understanding of basic networking technologies such as TCP/IP, UDP, and Firewalls

Salary Range

USD $160,000.00 - USD $190,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
