About this role

Description

Markon is seeking a principal level Budget Officer to support an Intelligence Customer.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with various groups to assist in the development of Center’s budget.
  • Monitor the center's budget to ensure proper execution.
  • Track and archive board-approved programmatic and financial requirements.
  • Assist with monitoring anticipated resource requirements and actual expenditures for all Front Office activities.
  • Draft financial reports to satisfy internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Track external stakeholder funding and maintain configuration management of the Center’s financial and execution documentation.
  • Support the center’s management of spending authorities.
  • Support budget meetings by preparing necessary documentation ad collection actions
  • Support creation of SLA, DocIDs, BCRs, and BLIs and support concurrence on budgetary requests.
  • Assist in drafting SOPS and policies.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
  • 15+ years of experience in federal budget/financial management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • Hands-on experience with Agency budget reporting systems.
  • Deep understanding of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and how to align financial operations accordingly.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain composure and efficiency in dynamic and stressful situations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with experience dealing with customers, executives, and cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, including Pivot Tables and other data visualization tools.

Salary Range

USD $170,000.00 - USD $200,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
