About this role

Description

Markon is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team as part of the Propulsion Plant Team Trainer (PPTT) project! This position can be located in Ballston Spa, NY or West Mifflin, PA. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the design, drafting, and integration of electrical systems for the PPTT project, ensuring compliance with technical requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop, update, and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts for training simulator components.
  • Review and validate supplier designs and technical documentation, identifying discrepancies and recommending solutions to ensure alignment with system specifications.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams (mechanical, software, and systems engineers) to ensure seamless integration of electrical components into the overall simulator design.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve design issues, providing technical expertise during design reviews and throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance electrical design processes, efficiency, and system reliability.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout the design and implementation phases.
  • Participate in project planning, status meetings, and technical discussions to drive timely delivery of high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

  • Must have active DOE L clearance to be considered.
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Work experience as an Electrical Engineer in a similar capacity.
  • Proficiency with Programmable Logic Controllers, low voltage electrical distribution, audiovisual, or telecommunications systems.
  • Proficiency performing electrical engineering drafting.
  • Experience creating or reviewing electrical engineering designs based on approved technical requirements.
  • Potential for telework up to 15%.

Desired:

  • Knowledge of drafting standards and techniques.
  • Proficiency with engineering software including SolidWorks, SolidWorks Electrical, and/or AutoCAD.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.

Pay Scale:

  • 3-9 years of experience - $120,000-$127,000 
  • 10+ years of experience - $128,000-$145,000

Salary Range

USD $120,000.00 - USD $145,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
