About this role

Description

Markon is seeking a Cost Analyst to support our Intelligence Customer by being part of a team of subject matter experts with deep expertise in financial modeling, strategic planning, and cost recovery transformations.  A successful candidate will bring expertise in workflow design, business case development, and data visualization, leveraging standardized Activity Based Costing workflows and automated tools to build and maintain reliable cost recovery models.  

Responsibilities

  • Develop products and services, pricing, process mapping, system flows, and stakeholder communications that articulate the information
  • Develop senior level status briefings for mission partners and other stakeholders
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders to ensure requirements are met and included in their planning
  • Proofreading large amounts of data to ensure system requirements are written correctly
  • Balance multiple tasks of various complexity and effectively communicate with stakeholders and management to anticipate future needs
  • Develop processes, strategy, and governance around standardized cost recovery models
  • Assist in maintaining cost recovery models for mission partners
  • Prepare and deliver easy-to-understand briefings regarding various cost models (i.e, Activity Based Costing, Fee-for Service) transition activities for management

Qualifications

  • TS/SCI w/ FSP
  • 13 years of relevant work experience
  • Degree in Business, Finance, or similar
  • Experience managing complex projects
  • Experience implementing and managing business operations, strategic initiative, or improvement projects
  • Experience developing and maintaining cost recovery models (e.g. Activity Based Costing, Fee-for-Service)
  • Ability to model costs using Excel or other tools
  • Ability to provide guidance and direction at the project level
  • Demonstrated ability to perform variance analysis
  • Demonstrated proficiency in data analysis
  • Understanding of accounting principles
  • Understanding of cost structures.

Salary Range

USD $170,000.00 - USD $190,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
