About this role

Description

Markon is seeking a Cost Analyst to support our Intelligence Customer. This role applies federal accounting and cost analysis expertise to develop, analyze, and validate pricing models that support mission programs, products, and services, with a particular focus on Activity-Based Costing (ABC) methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Activity-Based Costing (ABC) models to allocate direct and indirect costs across products, services, and mission activities.
  • Analyze cost drivers, overhead rates, and allocation methodologies to support pricing, rate development, and cost recovery.
  • Translate general ledger data into accurate pricing and cost model inputs, ensuring alignment between budgetary, proprietary, and cost accounting.
  • Perform cost and variance analyses, including review and reconciliation of expense and revenue accounts.
  • Support pricing and financial reporting through analysis of Statements of Net Cost by Product Line, Statements of Budgetary Resources, and Statements of Changes in Net Position.
  • Prepare and post accounting adjustments to ensure accurate cost capture and model integrity.
  • Improve data integrity and internal controls related to PP&E, inventory, and other cost-bearing assets.
  • Communicate cost structures, pricing assumptions, and financial impacts to stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 5 years of experience supporting federal financial statement auditing, federal financial statement preparation, or federal cost/pricing analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience applying Activity-Based Costing (ABC) or similar cost allocation methodologies in a federal environment.
  • Strong understanding of federal general ledger structures and the relationship between budgetary, proprietary, and cost accounting
  • Prior experience working with customer financial systems; Momentum experience preferred.
  • Working Capital Fund (WCF) experience strongly preferred.

Salary Range

USD $180,000.00 - USD $200,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
