The Housekeeping Supervisor supports the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring cleanliness standards, staffing coverage, and service expectations are consistently met. This role leads by example, supports and trains associates, and promotes a safe, efficient, and guest-focused environment.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

        Assist with the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department and serve as Manager on Duty for the department as assigned.

        Ensure all cleanliness and service standards are consistently met by all housekeeping associates.

        Perform the duties of housekeeper, lobby attendant, and room inspector as needed to support departmental operations.

        Monitor associate performance and adherence to established policies and procedures; communicate concerns to the Director of Housekeeping and assist with performance management as needed.

        Assist with scheduling room assignments and staffing to ensure appropriate coverage and operational efficiency.

        Ensure all associates are properly trained and equipped with the necessary tools and supplies to perform their duties effectively.

        Support the Director of Housekeeping with administrative responsibilities, including completing written reports and documentation.

        Inspect associate work performance to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with brand and property standards.

        Assist with Lost and Found procedures, including inventory, packaging, and mailing of guest items.

        Help control departmental expenses and minimize waste across all housekeeping operations.

        Promote and support a safe and secure working environment in all assigned areas.

        Ensure furniture, facilities, and equipment are properly maintained and in good working condition; report maintenance issues promptly.

        Foster positive guest and associate relations by responding promptly, professionally, and courteously to requests or concerns.

        Ensure standards of conduct, hygiene, uniforms, and overall appearance are consistently maintained.

        Represent the hotel with professionalism, integrity, and decorum at all times.

        Attend all required Housekeeping Department meetings and other meetings as assigned.

        Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR 

        Previous housekeeping supervisory or management experience with a thorough knowledge of housekeeping operations and procedures.

        High school diploma required; advanced degree or coursework in hospitality or a related field preferred.

        Prior experience with property management systems: OPERA Cloud highly preferred.

        Demonstrated supervisory and leadership skills, with the ability to develop, motivate, and retain a high-performing team while maintaining positive associate relations.

        Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.

        Working knowledge of the operation and proper use of housekeeping equipment and supplies, including vacuum cleaners, carts, and standard cleaning chemicals.

        Ability to read, write, and speak English; bilingual proficiency in Spanish preferred.

        Ability to represent the company in a professional, courteous, and service-oriented manner at all times.

        Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, lift, grasp, stretch, and reach as required to inspect and support operations throughout the hotel.

        Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

        Dependable, reliable, and flexible, with the ability to work varying schedules.

·         Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

·         Must be available to work between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., as operational needs require.
