  • Conduct multi‑jurisdictional coverage analysis and apply policy endorsements, exclusions, limitations, and relevant statutes.
  • Participate in Large Loss Committee reviews and present case evaluations.

Thorough Investigation & Evaluation

  • Conduct comprehensive investigations including recorded statements, site analysis, accident reconstruction, dram shop investigations, and witness canvassing.
  • Utilize IMEs, expert reviews, financial records, surveillance, vocational/economic experts, and other resources as needed.
  • Determine liability and proactively develop damage information.
  • Evaluate wage loss and other claims with appropriate investigative techniques.
  • Initiate timely and accurate reserve adjustments aligned with corporate philosophy.

Customer‑Focused Communication

  • Deliver timely, professional, empathetic communication to customers.
  • Meet all customer service standards and mandated deadlines.

  • Collaborate actively with defense counsel and all stakeholders.

Quality, Productivity & Technical Expertise

  • Maintain proficiency in multi‑state policies, case law, coverage analyses, and claims procedures.
  • Use internal and external research tools to adjust claims across various jurisdictions.
  • Prepare detailed written evaluations outlining coverage, liability, damages, legal considerations, and settlement strategy.
  • Achieve settlement through negotiation, conferences, arbitration, and mediation.
  • Aggressively manage litigation, direct discovery activities, and ensure counsel complies with reporting and strategy.
  • Attend trials, depositions, arbitrations, and mediations as needed.
  • Obtain and maintain out‑of‑state adjusting licenses where required.

Leadership & Development

  • Serve as a mentor/resource to less experienced adjusters and contribute to their development.
  • Participate in formal peer training and departmental initiatives.
  • Represent the company in arbitration and court‑mandated appearances.
  • Identify workflow improvements and support committees or project teams.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and commitment to continuous learning.
  • Stay current with legal and industry developments impacting claims handling.
