Summary

The Cyber, Security, Risk & Controls (CSRC) organization strengthens how we identify, assess, manage, and report technology risks across the enterprise. As the IT Disaster Recovery & Cyber Resilience Coordinator, you will support key initiatives to ensure information and technology risks are appropriately managed, with a focus on disaster recovery planning, cyber‑resilient architecture, and regulatory alignment. You will partner with global stakeholders to develop, maintain, and test recovery capabilities across critical applications and services. This role provides an opportunity to influence recovery strategies, guide business partners, and drive continuous improvement of the organization’s resilience posture.

Position Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain disaster recovery strategies that support business‑critical systems and align with business impact analysis (BIA) requirements, RTO/RPO targets, and regulatory expectations.

  • Coordinate and lead disaster recovery and cyber‑resilience exercises, including backup verification, crisis simulations, and multi-functional readiness events.

  • Partner with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to implement resilient backup strategies, validate recovery architectures (e.g., immutable storage, air‑gapped networks), and support DR readiness across hybrid environments.

  • Develop and maintain accurate, compliant documentation for application resilience plans, policies, standards, and gap remediation activities across the segment.

  • Drive continuous improvement of DR and cyber recovery capabilities through maturity assessments, risk analysis, and adoption of modern recovery and validation techniques.

Required Qualifications

  • University degree in Computer Science, Business, Finance, or related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in disaster recovery planning, testing, or resilience roles within a large organization.

  • Strong technical understanding of systems (client/server), networking, storage, resiliency configurations, cloud recovery patterns, and data replication methods.

  • Demonstrated project management capability with the ability to lead initiatives, prioritize multiple demands, and work independently or collaboratively.

  • Ability to influence stakeholders, build strong relationships, and work effectively with senior engineers, vendors, and international partners.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with enterprise backup and recovery platforms and cloud‑based recovery solutions (Azure, AWS).

  • Professional certifications such as ABCP, CBCP, MBCI, MBCP, CISSP, or CISM.

  • Experience with Veeam or similar cloud‑based backup integrity solutions.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver training or education sessions to technical and non‑technical groups.

  • Exposure to regulatory frameworks such as OSFI, SEC, and DORA is an asset.

When you join our team:

  • • We’ll empower you to learn and grow the career you want.

  • • We’ll recognize and support you in a flexible environment where well-being and inclusion are more than just words.

  • • As part of our distributed team, we’ll support you in shaping the future you want to see.
